Inspiring North America is full of wild encounters – in nature’s greatest temple lies watercolour wonders, blissful views and rushing beautiful waters, perfect for any travelling escapade.

Really, why not venture on an adventure, let your mind, body and soul run wild, feel the spirit and the breeze of the calming winds and smooth waves in this fantastic place?

In the story of ancient civilisation lies genuine travel beauty that will take away the breath of any historical and cultural lover.

Gorgeous blossoms arrive in North America – held in mid-March to mid-April in Washington DC, there is a month-long festival that celebrates spring’s arrival. It is called the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

There are hundreds of fantastic and cinematic performances and exhibitions that is certain to keep any traveller engaged for an extended period of time. There are even paddleboat rides in Tidal Basin and you can enjoy an evening walk with your loved ones by lantern lights, enjoy cultural fairs and exciting parade. No worldwide event would be the same without a magical display of fireworks, lighting up the mysterious midnight sky…so you can expect that too.

This is undoubtedly one of the best times to visit Washington DC as a traveller, as an onlooker or as any wonderer living there looking to really reap the benefits of this naturist place, full of life, full of beauty. The beautiful trees stand tall, blooming in a sea of pink and white shades.

A big highlight of the National Cherry Blossom Festival is the one-day Japanese Street Festival. It adds a cultural edge and extra dimension to the occasion, bringing together countries and cultures from all over the world. There are Kimono-clad dancers, taiko drummers, martial arts masters and bundles of food stalls. The crowds are immense and the atmosphere is buzzing. Centred on M Street and New Jersey Avenue, SE, the festival takes place in the Capitol Riverfront neighbourhood and has an entry fee – but we’re sure it’s worth it every piece of money spent.

If you’re a fitness lover, then at the festival you can enjoy an elating and astounding 10-mile run, where you will rush past the herd of pinks and whites. The Blossom Kite Festival attracts serious attention also. All kites of shapes and sizes are flown on the Public Field, a stunning varsity of space overlooking the beautiful surroundings of our Mother Earth.

The four-week event truly and inspirationally rejoices the significant gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Tokyo’s Mayor Yukio Ozaki to the city of Washington in 1912. It is precious and unique in its entire entirety. To this day they have expanded and now it has become a trademark for the entire city and profoundly recognised by people all over the world.

More than 1.5 million people attend the festival to this day – it is an absolute travellers dream, a gem of a place, when visiting the all-mighty famous, inspiring North America.
